I like Rocket League but Im not good at it. I got it via PS+ and while it can be fun, I dont stay interested in the game for long. I cant see myself buying it now, cool or not.
Have you tried playing through the tutorial? I went from poor to winning in MP matches and mopping the floor with the first level of bots just because of the tutorial.
Also, I find it easier to play with an Xbox controller.

There is your problem, you bought it on a console :P. On a seriouse note, its a game you should play with friends for it to be fun.
