PocketCHIP - The $50 Portable Linux Computer

Looks cool. The ARM7 and Mali400 is a decent enough processing payload for the price.
Not terribly much memory, but again you can’t complain for a $9 chip.

I’m not entirely sold on using it as an actual linux computer, but as an embedded processor in electronics projects I might pick up a few units as a replacement to the Teensy boards.

Alternatively I can recommend cheking out the OdroidC2 from Hardkernel which is my current goto SBC which is a bit more pricy @ $40 for the board, but it has a far more powerful processor, a mali450, 2gig ram, ethernet, HDMI and an option for highspeed solid state storage.

BTW, I did some more research, and if you want to buy one with a charger its more like a $74 computer.

Still a cheaper option.

An odroid C2 with touchscreen, psu and 3d printed Shell is something like $150.

I can’t believe discourse allowed those last two posts without saying not enough blubber or whatever.
